Grays Athletic 0 Billericay Town 5 (Friendly - Away)
Fri, July 23, 2004. Kick off: 7:30 PM
An slightly under-strength Grays side were taught a footballing lesson in this friendly against Essex rivals Billericay Town.
Although Grays were missing four or five regulars, Billericay's newly full time squad were far superior throughout the game and scored within the first couple of minutes through Neil Cousins, who went on to put Town two up before half time.
In the second half, Grays' triallist 'keeper Simon Overland felled Leon Hunter in the box providing Cousins with his hat trick from the spot, before Bradley Allen and Daniel Jones completed a miserable evening for Blues.
