Grays Athletic 1 Woking 1 (Away)
Sat, October 8, 2005. Kick off: 12:15 PM
Grays continued their unbeaten run by drawing 1-1 at the Kingfield Stadium on Saturday.
The Blues found themselves a goal down following a good strike from the Cards' Justin Richards but replied minutes later with a 'controversial' penalty, won by the ever menacing Jamie Slabber. Grays' skipper, Stuart Thurgood, who again had taken complete control of the midfield throughout the match, converted from the spot in the 18th minute, much to the delight of the travelling supporters and to all those watching at home on Sky.
Despite numerous chances, especially from Aaron McLean and Gary Hooper, neither side managed to find a winner but, the draw was a fair reflection of the game. Woking proved to be a strong side and it was almost impossible to break down their defences until the latter stages of the second half.
