Small, 21, joined Grays Athletic at the start of the 2010/11 season under Julian Dicks. He made an impact at the start of the season scoring a brace against rivals Tilbury in the 3-1 win on 30th August 2010.

The forward previously played for the Dockers, joining them in February 2010, scoring seven goals in 29 appearances for them in the latter stages of the 2009/10 season. Prior to signing for Tilbury, Small played for Barking, making his debut in the 2008/09 season and scored 12 goals in 64 games.

In his first season as a Blue, Jared featured 29 times scoring seven goals, before reaching his half-century this afternoon at Rookery Hill in the 1-0 loss to Maldon & Tiptree. Small bagged a hat-trick this season in the 4-0 win over Waltham Abbey in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round Replay in October.
