Press Statement
July 13, 2007
As the new season draws upon us I would like to send my sincere apologies to both Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage supporters for the problems that they encountered at The New Recreation Ground last season.
The decisions taken on those occasions were solely down to myself, as a club you try to look after your own supporters and I thought I was doing the right thing, however, I will hold my hands up and admit on those occasions I made a big mistake, in future games, the whole of the Bradbourne Road terrace will be allocated to the away fans be that 1 or 1000 fans, also all future decisions regarding the safety and security of fans will be taken by the grounds Safety Officer and I will not override his recommendations.
Once again I would like to apologise to both Dagenham & Redbridge and Stevenage and wish you success in the coming season.
Mick Woodward
Chairman
