Grays Athletic appeared in front of an FA Disciplinary Panel on Thursday 21st June 2007 charged with failing to comply with a previous FA judgement against them; this was in relation to the non payment of salary owed to Ashley Sestanovich in respect of his contract, The FA had ruled that Grays Athletic were in breech of FA regulations by terminating his contract prior to his conviction.

Grays Athletic have released Midfielder Derek Duncan, Derek signed for Grays Athletic on 25th May 2007 even though he was under contract to Leyton Orient until 30th June, the club would have registered the player on 1st July 2007, however, during the interim period his agent had touted him around various clubs and an offer from Wycombe Wanderers was made.
Both the Club and Justin Edinburgh felt it would be in the best interests of Grays Athletic and Duncan to release him from his contract rather than have a player who is discontent with his current position which was evident in phone conversations.

Grays Athletic have signed 23yr old Midfileder, Charley Hearn on a 1 year contract from Fisher Athletic.
Charley started as a trainee with Millwall before moving to Northampton Town on loan, before moving to Fisher Athletic

Grays Athletic are please to announce that they will be entering a squad into The Pontin‘s Holiday‘s Combination League(Eastern Division) this season, this will see us playing the likes of Ipswich, Southend, Leyton Orient, a full list of teams will be advertised when available.

All Season Ticket holders will have free entry to the games at The New Recreation Ground.

Grays Athletic have 3 free sets of Bench Coats and Trousers (XL) that are available on a “first come first served basis” to any of the Grays Athletic Youth Team Mangers up to U15 age group.

Only Managers are allowed to receive a set and your name will be checked against the current list.

Grays Athletic are please to announce that Stuart Thurgood has extended his contract by a further 2 years, this is on top of his remaining 1 year contract.

Talks are also being held with Jamie Stuart to extend his contract by 2 years.

Grays Athletic are looking for volunteers on Saturday 7th July to assist with painting, minor repairs, general cleaning in preparation of the new season, if you are available between 08:30 - 13:00 you will be made welcome, you will also be given vouchers to be used behind the bar. If you have your own brushes and tools then please bring them with you.

There will be a free BBQ during the day and the Players will be available between 13:30 and 17:00 for anyone who wishes to come to the ground and meet them and take pictures.

Grays Athletic have signed Goalkeeper, Ross Flitney, form Barnet FC, Ross started at the Arsenal Academy and was there from the ages of 12 - 16, he then joined Fulham where he was understudy to Edwin van der Sar, he then moved on loan to Brighton and also had a short spell at Doncaster before joining The Bees.
