Grays Athletic have completed the signings of the following players:

Santos Gaia, Defender from Stevenage, signed initially on loan until January when a permanent deal will be offered. Santos has played for Old Corinthians, Exeter and Stevenage.

Ian Selley, Midfielder from Lewes, signed on loan until January 1st, Ian is an ex Arsenal trainee who was the youngest player on the field in Arsenal‘s 1994 European Cup Winners‘ Cup Final victory over Parma, he has also played for Southend, Fulham, MK Dons, and Woking.

Alan Power, Midfielder from Nottingham Forest, Alan is a product of the Nottingham Forest Academy signed on loan until 1st January 2008 with options to extend

Stuart Thurgood has left Grays Athletic to join former Blues Manager Mark Stimson at Gillingham, Stuart has been released on loan initially with a view to a permanent deal in January, Stuart has appeared in over 180 matches for The Blues and has been a great Club Captain, The club felt the time was right to let Stuart move and we wish him all the very best for his future career

Oxford United Midfielder, Michael Standing joins Grays on Reserve contact until January 1st 2008 with a view to a full contract, Michael started out at Brighton before joining Aston Villa, he later joined Bradford City and then Wallsall before having short spells at both Chesterfield and Bournemouth before joining Oxford United in the summer of 2007

Grays Athletics ex Manager, Mark Stimson has allowed Luis Cumbers to join Grays Athletic on Work Experience, Luis is a 19 year old Striker who is on a YTS scheme with Gillingham.

The Fixture against Crawley that was changed from Saturday 8th Dec to Friday 7th December will now be played on the 8th December as originally planned.

The Fixture against Burton Albion that was due to take place on Saturday 1st December has now been postponed due to their success against Halifax today they now progress to the next round of the FA Cup.

The ESC game which will now be played against Stanway Rovers has to be played by Dec 8th, once a date for this has been finalised with both teams we will let you know.

Histon boss Steve Fallon has won the Blue Square “Manager of the Month” award for October. The Stutes won three of their four games during the month, recording two away victories at resurgent York City and fellow Blue Square Premier newcomers Droylsden. Fallon has guided his part-time team to within touching distance of the play-off positions following last year‘s promotion season. The award is judged by a panel of experts including Setanta Blue Square Premier pundit Paul Parker. Parker had this to say about Fallon: “The fact that Histon can see full-time teams like Exeter, York and Oxford below them in the table shows what a fantastic job Steve Fallon has done at the Glassworld Stadium”.

Exeter City striker Richard Logan has been voted by fans as the Blue Square Premier “Player of the Month” for October. Logan polled over 40 percent of the votes, after a month in which he scored four goals including a hat-trick at Salisbury City. The former England youth and schoolboy international also scored the only goal of the game in The Grecians 1-0 home win over Grays Athletic.
