Grays Athletic make the short journey to The Arena to play Brentwood Town this evening, looking to build on an excellent run of recent results.

Brentwood Town's successes in the cup competitions, combined with the intervention of the weather has left them twenty matches to play including tonight's. Their month began with a draw at Soham, then back to back wins over Waltham Forest and Heybridge Swifts. However three defeats in the last week will have dented their hopes of catching the play-off teams, they still have sixty points to play for, but playing three times a week will hinder their prospects. As for Grays Athletic, Saturday saw a comfortable 5-1 win at Ware, with Jack West netting a hat-trick; but with all the other teams at the top winning on Saturday, and then Aveley beating Harlow last night, we go into the match sitting in third place. Elsewhere the much delayed Essex Senior Cup Semi-Final is due to be played between Waltham Abbey and AFC Hornchurch, so our Final opponents will be known tonight. The Essex FA will then be able to confirm a date and venue for the Final.
