Grays Athletic can confirm that following the abandonment of the game on Saturday, the circumstances surrounding the matter will be subject to investigations by the FA and The League.

Club chairman Steve Skinner has spoken to his counterpart at Barking FC Rob O'Brien, and they have agreed that whilst both clubs will provide the authorities with their version of events, it is important that there isn't any long term ill feeling between the teams.

After the match, Jamie Stuart and Justin Gardner had a private conversation to iron out their differences following their verbal altercation on the touchline, and Justin has apologised for comments made to Jamie - some of which have been incorrectly reported.

In the meantime the club will allow the disciplinary processes to unfold before commenting further.
