Joseph has impressed the coaching staff and Jody Brown recognises the challenge for the player but also hopes he can push on, especially if it means a move higher up the pyramid.

"He comes from full time football, and has played in Champions League and Europa League qualifiers, so his pedigree is good.

"Football is very different here in England and it will take him time to acclimatise.

"He is here to try and carve out a career in our football after winning the Maltese Premier League and Super Cup.

"Hopefully we can help him establish himself and if he attracts interest from full time clubs that's great"

Joseph previously played at Birkirkara FC. Birkirkara FC is based in the town of Birkirkara, the largest town in the island of Malta. The club was formed in 1950, following the amalgamation of Birkirkara United and Birkirkara Celtic. Birkirkara currently play in the Maltese Premier League, which it has won on four occasions, most recently in the 2012-13 season.
Joseph has made two international appearances for Malta as a substitute on both occasions.
Joseph can play at left back and Midfield.
