The blues welcome Bognor Regis to Mill field in a return to league action

Grays Athletic welcome Bognor Regis Town to Mill field this Saturday (20th September) in a return to Ryman Premier league action following the blues midweek 2-4 FA Cup replay victory over Harlow Town.

The blues fought hard against a resilient Harlow Town to progress to the 2nd qualifying round, where they will take on Hastings united at Mill Filed on the 27th September.
An early goal from Jamie Guy sent the blues on their way before Harlow equalised just before the break. The blues battled hard in the second half as Harlow attempted to break the blues down, however goals from Kenny Beaney, Glenn Little and a fantastic effort from Jordan Wilson were enough to see off a Harlow Town who are likely to be playing their football in the Ryman premier league next season.

Bognor Regis Town come into the match on the back of 0-1 loss to Lewes in the FA Cup. Bognor currently sit in 20th position in the Ryman League on 9 points winning 2, drawing 3 and losing 5.
The blues last met Bognor in April 2014 at Mill Field losing 3-4. Goals from Leroy Griffiths and two from Joao Carlos were not enough as player manager Ryan Kirby was sent off in the second half.
Jody Brown has a full squad to choose from with the exception of Joe Benjamin who went off against Harlow with a rib injury .
A win against Bognor could lift the blues into a playoff position so will be hoping the sun is shining on the blues this Saturday.
