The reserve team has reached the Essex Senior League Reserve Division Shield final after losing the second leg but edging out Great Wakering Rovers 6-5 on aggregate.
The two sides have met four times this season with each game being played in a great spirit and with some great attacking football on display and despite holding a 5-1 advantage from the first leg nobody was taking anything for granted at Burroughs Park.
Some late changes to the line-up may have affected the confidence throughout the side with keeper George Kamurasi required on first-team duty and influential midfielder Wes Quinn ruled out through injury.
Rovers were 3-0 up when Joe Smallwood smashed home a free-kick before the home side scored a 4th to setup a nervy finish but Blues held on to reach the final which will be played on Saturday 28th April at Sawbridgeworth Town.
Tilbury and Burnham Ramblers are locked at 0-0 after the first leg of their semi-final with the second leg being played at Burnham on Thursday 19th April.
