Public Transport and parking information for our cup match at Whyteleafe FC

WHYTELEAFE FC does have on site parking at the Church Road ground. However, as with every ground there is a finite capacity much of which is expected to be taken up by players, officials of both competing clubs, match officials, Ryman League officers and sponsors.

There is unlikely to be much, if any, capacity for visiting supporters and we would therefore like to set out what your options are.

There is parking available in Church Road and this is free BUT please do not park on double yellow lines.

Double yellow lines mean no waiting AT ANY TIME. Those near to the entrance have been put there to prevent accidents as people leave the ground. We have already had one nasty accident this year as a result of someone parking on the yellow lines close to the corner of the entrance.

Please also do not park in front of our neighbours’ drives or in such a way that it makes access to and from their homes difficult.

You should also be aware that the road is used by commuters many of whom start to disappear after 5.30pm.

If for any reason you cannot park in Church Road, please use the car park at Whyteleafe Station. Whilst this isn’t free, it is large and only a six minute walk along Church Road to the ground.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

We always recommend people use public transport as links are good. We have three stations in Whyteleafe: Whyteleafe, Whyteleafe South and Upper Warlingham all are in Zone 6.

WHYTELEAFE: this is the recommended station with regular services from both London Victoria and London Bridge both via East Croydon to Caterham. The ground is a six minute walk from this station.
The last train back to London from Whyteleafe leaves at 23.24.

WHYTELEAFE SOUTH: this is on the same line as Whyteleafe. It may look marginally closer to the ground on a map however as there is more of a hill to contend with and much of the road has no pavement, we always recommend to travel to WHYTELEAFE.

UPPER WARLINGHAM: this is on the Oxted line with trains travelling to Uckfield and East Grinstead from London Bridge and London Victoria again via East Croydon. The walk to the ground from Upper Warlingham takes approximately 10 minutes (past Whyteleafe Station).
The last train back to London from Upper Warlingham leaves at 23.18.

Have a safe journey!
