After a two week lay off Blues are back in action tomorrow Saturday when they host an improving Ware in a Bostik North fixture when they will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games. In the away fixture back in October Blues registered a fine 5-0 win which led to an upturn in form and a five game unbeaten league run.
Blues last outing in darkest Norfolk saw them come away with a share of the points against Norwich United after twice taking the lead. The enforced lay off will have left the squad refreshed and eager to get back into action in what should be an intriguing encounter
In Opposition
Ware experienced an indifferent start to the season their cause not helped by a management merry go round which saw three changes to the hot seat, John Dreyer being the latest incumbent. Latest results though suggest an upturn in form the last three games saw wins against Aveley, Hertford, and a creditable draw against promotion hopefuls Haringey Borough. Their leading scorer Yannick Kamaman has since moved on but ex Aveley striker Jordan Watson has recently signed and has been finding the back of the net.
One interesting fact shows the club has registered 9,995 goals since being founded in 1892 just needing five more to hit the magic 10,000 mark, lets hope they don't replicate our winning margin earlier in the season!!
In The Past
Latest records show there have been nine meetings with Blues winning seven, with one draw and one defeat. The earliest was an FA Cup Preliminary round tie on the 5th September 1970 at Ware Blues running out 1-0 winners. As mentioned earlier the latest encounter earlier in the season saw Blues run out 5-0 winners goals coming from Prince Madu own goal, Kieran Bishop, a stunning free kick from Sam Cross, and a brace from the now departed Tim Monsheju . The only setback for Blues being the dismissal of Stan Muguo.
