With Grays Athletic and other clubs from the Isthmian, Conference and Football Leagues not joining the competition until the Third Round, it is a chance to head to an unfamiliar ground and take in a match between two of our fellow Essex sides.

Despite not winning the competition since the 1994/95 season, we have a great history in the competition, having won it on eight occasions, whilst finishing as runners up on nine more.

Last season, we lost 2-1 at home in the Quarter Finals to Southend United, whilst Billericay Town defeated Aveley 2-0 in the final played at Ship Lane.
