Brentwood Town host Grays Athletic on Saturday 24th September in a Ryman Division One North clash.

Brentwood manager, Steve Witherspoon has stated that he and his players are ready for the challenge of facing Grays Athletic. When speaking with the Brentwood Gazette he said; "We want to test ourselves against the best and this will be a real big one for everyone...They are top and unbeaten, they are a good, well organised side and I know our players can wait to take them on."

Grays Athletic suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday, bowing out of the FA Cup at the hands of Ryman Premier outfit, Aveley - who's manager, Carl Griffiths was previously in charge at Brentwood. Brentwood were also eliminated from the FA Cup, having drawn twice with Hemel Hempstead Town, before losing 4-2 on penalties in the replay.

Brentwood currently lie 9th in the table, with 10 points. They've won three, drawn one and lost two - winning their last two league games. Luke Croll is their top scorer with two goals.

The last time these two sides met was last season, also in the Ryman Division One North. Brentwood ran out 2-1 winners on 22nd March 2011, with goals from Darren Blewitt and Danny Dafter at The Brentwood City. Marvin Samuel notched for Grays, whilst Andy Hall featured in goal for the opposition. In the previous fixture at Rookery Hill, the two clubs drew 0-0 in November.

Both Eljay Worrell (ankle) and Jean-Michel Sigere (shoulder) are out injured.

Kick-off is 15:00 at:
The Brentwood Arena
The Brentwood Centre
Doddinghurst Road
Brentwood
Essex
