Hakan Hayrettin’s squad was bolstered today with the signing of three more players for next season; two new faces joining the club, whilst another from last season agreed to stay on.

One time France-under 20 player Jean-Michel Sigere joins and will add the club to an already extensive CV. He started out last season with Margate, with whom he had enjoyed a two year spell with back in 2002, but his return was cut short, and he went on to join St Albans City. In November 2010, he signed for Walton & Hersham who play in the Isthmian Division One South. Originally starting out in Bordeaux’s reserve team, he came to our shores in 2000, where he signed for Rushden & Diamonds, before spells with Stevenage, Margate, Hornchurch, Gravesend & Northfleet and Lewes amongst others. During his original spell with Margate, Sigere played and scored against Grays in that 3-3 home draw in the FA Cup in October 2003.

The second new face is Papy Kanyuka who was born in The Democratic Republic of Congo. An attacking midfielder, he scored 11 goals in 46 matches for Waltham Forest between 2004 and 2006 in the Southern League Eastern Division under the guide of our new manager. Following this, he again teamed up with Hakan at Thurrock.

Richard Oxby joined the club towards the end of last season, after having spent most of it with Romford. He made his debut in a 2-1 home defeat to Great Wakering Rovers, and featured in the last six matches of the season.
