Grays Ath XI vs Dagenham & Redbridge XI - Stuart Thurgood / Mark Wright

With Thurgood working his way back to fitness following his retirement last September, Dagenham & Redbridge have kindly agreed to send a team to The Academy on Tuesday 20th September for a friendly. The management team will continue to assess his fitness in the hope of signing him to bolster the 1st team squad.

Also set to feature for Grays is Mark Wright who's Essex United side currently play in the Essex Business Houses League as Grays Athletic's 2nd Reserve Team. Wright, who has found fame with ITV's The Only Way Is Essex, made a single appearance for the Club in a 3-0 Essex Senior Cup Semi Final defeat at AFC Hornchurch in January 2007.
