The 2011/12 Ryman Division One North season finally kicks off tomorrow with Stuart Nethercott's Ware travelling to Rookery Hill.

After a month of pre-season friendlies, Grays Athletic open the season to Ware. Hakan and Hassan have finally assembled a squad ready to compete, with a number of new faces and clearly have the play-offs in their sight.

One of the new faces is club captain, Lee Flynn, who gave the matchday programme an exclusive interview - available for £2.

Pre-season has been a relative success with good wins over Canvey Island, Walton Casuals and Concord Rangers. The Blues also entertained a West Ham United XI which boasted a number of big names.

Last season Grays only managed to gain one point off Ware, a 1-1 draw a Rookery Hill in November 2010. A month prior, the Blues suffered a devastating 3-0 at Woodson Park.

Ware have had a mixed pre-season, in their last outing they suffered a 4-0 loss to Harrow Borough at home. This was after a 3-0 win over Criag Edwards' Billercay Town.

Stuart Nethercott was appointed manager of Ware at the start of pre-season, following the resignation of Tony Faulkner in May. Nethercott previously played for Tottenham Hotspur between 1991 and 1998.
