Blues are set to head to The South Mimms Travel Stadium tomorrow, home of Potters Bar Town, and will be looking to get back to winning ways following

The manager has been busy trying to freshen up his squad following the departures of David Cowley and Leon McKenzie, and everyone is hoping that the recent poor form is a blip, and just that. The last time we went four without a win in the league was in October 2010, in fact that run went on for seven matches.

Despite the loss at home to Maldon & Tiptree last Saturday, Blues stayed in fifth spot thanks to defeats for AFC Sudbury and Brentwood Town, whilst our local rivals Tilbury picked up a single point in their past two matches. The Dockers’ were held to a 2-2 draw by Waltham Abbey last weekend, whilst they went down 3-0 in midweek to a resurgent Redbridge side who now sit just five points outside the play-offs with two games in hand.

The opposition have been in recent good form, having picked up 11 points from their last 6 matches. Impressive wins over Harlow Town, AFC Sudbury and Heybridge Swifts have been followed up by draws with Enfield Town and Chatham Town. Those results mean they are unbeaten at home in three matches.

Fabian Batchelor and Ellis Remy are two players who featured for both clubs; Batchelor made his one appearance for the Blues from the bench in the 4-1 defeat at Histon in March 2009, whilst Remy joined the club in October 2003 signing from Lincoln City. New boy James Bunn also turned out for The Scholars in 2005.

With the weather as it is, a pitch inspection is expected and once details are known, the website, forum and Twitter will be updated.

TEAM NEWS
New signings Nathan Gordon and James Bunn are eligible to play, whilst there are no new injury concerns.
