The Grays Lives Project: David Seaman on Grays Athletic

OUR final interview as part of the Grays Athletic fans telling us of their hopes and dreams of returning to the area centres on veteran fan David Seaman. First things first, David is no relation to the former Arsenal goalkeeper but he was in contact with his namesake and managed to get a donation from the shop stopper for the Bring Grays Ath back to Grays campaign. We asked David to reflect on his memories of Bridge Road as well as his hopes for the future. As part of our planned eighty films looking at people’s lives in Grays, both past, present and future, we felt it was very important to allocate a few of the interviews to a football club that was and could well be again the heartbeat of the community.
