Grays Athletic U13 are looking for new players for next season.

Boys must be in year 8 when they go back to school in September.

Last season the team finished runners up in the league and won the League Cup and are looking for players of a good standard for the new season.

Pre season training and trials commences on Saturday 4th August at Nutberry Playing Fields

Grays Athletic U13 winners of the Little Thurrock Dynamos Tournament

Grays Athletic U13 entered the LTD tournament on weekend of June 16th. Three teams were entered. After all teams qualified through their leagues to progress to the quarter finals we lost our yellow team to a last minute goal in the quarter final but our blue and red teams progressed to the semi final which both teams won to play a Grays Athletic v Grays Athletic final. The blue team came out 1-0 winners over the red team. It was excellent achievement to have an all Grays Final and to dominate the tournament as we did. Well done to all the boys who took part.

During this years presentation evening on 30th June at the Aveley Sports and Social Club (Firemans Club) there will be a Charity Auction in aid of a local child who has a life threatening illness, this is an all ticket event and only open to Grays Athletic Youth.

U9 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

For the second tournament running the Grays Athletic U9 Yellows came agonisingly close to winning a trophy but had to settle for runners-up spot after a tough final.
The Yellows topped qualifying group A after a five game mini league in which they were unbeaten
(P5 W3 D2 L 0 F 8 A 1 PTS 11).

Finishing top of Group A meant a semi-final encounter with the second placed team in Group B the Thurrock Tigers.

After a close semi-final the Yellows lined up for the Final against Park Royals who had finished second in the Yellows group stage. The Final was a tight as the group game and finished 0-0 after extra time.
Unfortunately the Yellows lost the penalty shoot-out 3-2 but the boys played excellently throughout the hot day. Hopefully the next tournament will be third time lucky.

Grays Athletic youth U11‘s ran out winners in their first tournament of the close season.

The route to the final was completed without losing a game, including a clinical 3-0 “walk in the park”
triumph over East Thurrock United in the semi final.

They finished with a comfortable 3-0 win against local rivals Grays Cosmos in the final.
