GRAYS ATHLETIC FC – A HEARTFELT APPEAL TO OUR SUPPORTERS, FRIENDS & THE WIDER COMMUNITY

YOUR CLUB. OUR CLUB. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

As you will all be aware, Grays Athletic FC is a proud community-owned football club, belonging to its members, supporters and everyone who cares passionately about its future.

Unlike many clubs, we don’t have the luxury of owning our own ground. As a ground-sharing club, our opportunities to generate regular income are extremely limited, making the support of our fantastic football family even more important.

Today, we’re reaching out with a genuine and heartfelt appeal for your help.

WHY ARE WE ASKING?

Unfortunately, one of our main sponsors (not our front-of-shirt sponsors) has yet to honour an agreed financial commitment to the club. This has left a significant shortfall in our first-team playing budget, a situation that has placed additional financial pressure on us.

Rather than simply accepting this setback, we want to come together as a club, a community and a football family to see whether we can bridge that gap and, who knows, perhaps even exceed it!

Every additional pound raised through this appeal will go directly towards supporting our first-team playing budget, helping us remain competitive, strengthen where possible and push onwards and upwards in the league.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

There are several ways you can make a real difference:

ARE YOU ALREADY SUPPORTING US?

Firstly, a massive and sincere THANK YOU! Your loyalty and generosity mean more than you probably realise.

If you’re in a position to increase your support, even slightly, it would be hugely appreciated. Every contribution, however large or small, really does make a difference.

COULD YOU OR YOUR BUSINESS BECOME A CLUB SPONSOR?

Perhaps you own a business, work for a company that supports local community organisations, or know someone who might be interested in becoming a sponsor?

Please speak to us, ask the question at your workplace or introduce us to someone who may be able to help.

You never know where that next opportunity might come from!

WE COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THAT TIMES ARE TOUGH.

We know that many families and individuals are facing their own financial pressures, and the last thing we want is for anyone to feel obliged to contribute.

This appeal is aimed purely at those who are genuinely in a position to help. If you can’t contribute financially, sharing this message and spreading the word is every bit as welcome.

WE NEED OUR 12TH MAN NOW MORE THAN EVER!

We’ve faced challenges before, and we’ll undoubtedly face them again. But one thing that has always made Grays Athletic special is the people who stand behind the badge.

We aren’t asking for miracles. We’re asking whether, collectively, we can all do a little something to make a big difference.

This is about unity, togetherness, ambition and securing the strongest possible future for OUR football club.

Let’s see what we can achieve together. Let’s fill this financial void, give our first team the backing they deserve and help drive this great club forward.

From everyone at Grays Athletic FC, thank you for your continued loyalty, passion and support. It never goes unnoticed, and it is never taken for granted.

And always remember those words we sing with such pride…
“THIS IS YOUR CLUB, BELONGS TO YOU AND ME!”

ONE CLUB. ONE COMMUNITY. ONE AMBITION.

COYB!
