New Chairman and Vice Chairman announced

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:- BOARD CHANGES (MAY 2023)

The club is pleased to announce the composition of the new board with effect from 2nd May 2023.

In the announcement made at the end of March, the board outlined a proposition to increase the number of elected directors to 8, with this being achieved by Steve Skinner and Glyn Jarvis standing for re-election at the end of their current three year terms and the recruitment of new Directors for specific roles covering equality and diversity, finance and football operations.
The club invited shareholders to put themselves forward for these positions and as no further applications for election were received by 21st April 2023, the following has taken place:-
- In addition to current elected Directors, David Barnes, Janet Packer and Rebecca Webb - Glyn Jarvis and Steve Skinner have been re-elected as Directors of Grays Athletic Community Football Club Limited.
- Paul Joynes and Gavin Holland have switched from being Co-opted Directors to elected Directors to fulfil the football operations and finance positions on the board.
- Lee Vehit has been elected to the board in the Equality and Diversity role that he already undertakes for the club and the Isthmian League.

The board are also pleased to report that a further four people have indicated that they would like to be considered for a co-opted Director's position in future and the new board will be speaking to these interested parties in the forthcoming weeks.

At last week’s board meeting, the elected Directors met to discuss who would fill the key positions going forward and at this meeting, Steve Skinner and Glyn Jarvis stepped down from their roles as Chairman and Vice Chairman. The club would like to thank them for their service to the board and the work they facilitated to move Grays Athletic to being a 100% supporter owned club in 2016.
Consequently, the board are pleased to announce that Lee Vehit has agreed to become the club Chairman, with Gavin Holland supporting him as Vice-Chairman.
Lee and Gavin will communicate with the supporters shortly and see them at the presentation night on the 19th May, however, in the meantime, I am sure that everyone connected with Grays Athletic will wish them both many successes in their new roles as they seek to drive the club forward to the next level.
