Jim unhappy with Blues performance

So where do I start to analyse what went on this evening. First and foremost we should not be getting beat against an under 23 side when all of our available first team players at some point had some minutes in the game. We showed very little passion for tonight’s game but more importantly it proved that the squad is probably lacking in depth. We have a fantastic 12 - 13 who will give anyone a run for their money but as showed tonight when you lose players like Manny, Carlos, Kingy and Connor Martin through injury we looked pretty average as a squad of players who represented the club. So what does that mean moving forward. Firstly, those players who have been patiently waiting for an opportunity to show what they have to offer, need to step up and produce a better performance than they did tonight. Secondly, I need to bring in another two quality players to provide competition to the current starting eleven who currently are not being pushed enough to keep their shirt. Time will tell if we will be good enough, I truthfully believe we will be and the last few games are a blip so we can look forward to Saturday’s game to get back to where we have been.
