The History: There has been 8 matches between the sides and the record is evenly split with 3 wins apiece and 2 draws. Away from home Grays have only won once at Leiston, but that was in the last game that the side met in Suffolk. The score that day was 2-1 with the Grays goals coming from Dumebi Dumaka.
The Form: Grays earned their second point of the season last Saturday against Bognor Regis Town. After falling behind early, a great second half display from the young Blues side bought them back into the game with the equaliser coming from a Cole penalty. Blues will feel unfortunate not to have claimed all the points after Menga hit the woodwork.
Liston have made a great start to this season and currently sit in second position with a 100 % record. Their 3 wins have come against Havant & Waterlooville, Canvey Island and then a stunning 4-2 comeback victory at Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday, a tough task awaits tonight for sure.
The Players: Blues midfielder David Fallah has impressed since the start of the season and his pace and trickery won Grays the penalty they equalised from on Saturday in what was Adeyinka Cole’s first competitive goal for the club.
Leiston top scorer so far this season is Gareth Heath. He along with Joe Francis scored a brace against Dulwich Hamlet. The Leiston goalkeeper will provide a familiar face to Grays fans. Nicky Eyre played for Grays between 20042008. He started 36 times and come on once as a substitute.
