New Signing – Adeyinka Cole

Starting out as a youth player with Blackpool, Cole has recently played for Enfield Town and Waltham Abbey, before ending last season with Romford.

Cole has impressed during pre-season, and scored the decisive penalty in Saturday’s 2-1 win at local rivals Thurrock.

Speaking earlier today, Cole said:

“I’m delighted to have finally signed for Grays Athletic, and on a personal note, am looking forward to starting the season with a bang, and show everyone what I’m made of.

“During the training sessions and matches, I’ve looked around and seen a lot of potential and togetherness. We would be the first to admit that it’s a long season, and there will be good and bad times; hopefully more of the good".

“With Jamie at the forefront, and some of the ability we have in the dressing room, I have no doubt we will continue to grow throughout the season. With hard work, and by allowing our football to do the talking, I have no doubt that we will make Mill Field a tough place to come, and take a few by surprise during the season”
