On my last day in the role, I can only say that it has been a privilege to be the Chairman of Grays Athletic over the last seven years and playing my part in developing it into the valued community club that it is today.
I look forward to my next term as a Director and helping the new Chairman and board members achieve their goals of securing a new home for the club and moving it back up the football pyramid.
Of course there are so many people I need to thank in respect of board colleagues, senior and youth management groups, matchday volunteers and supporters and I will endeavour to contact everyone over the summer to express my gratitude to them.
I also want to applaud all of the managers, coaches, secretaries, players and supporters of all of the teams that play or have played across our club.
Lastly, a big thanks to my family and friends for their support. Apologies if I have neglected you over the last few years - I owe you a beer or two!
