Grays Athletic are delighted with the Secretary of State for Development for levelling up, Housing and Communities decision yesterday (Thursday 6th December) to not call in our joint planning application with Group 1 for Ship Lane. The decision not to call in the application means that the government are happy with the local authority’s decision to approve the application.
Whilst the club is delighted with this decision, we do now have to wait a further 6 weeks to allow any judicial review of the application and to allow the Section 106 agreement to be finalised with the council.

Whilst we understand what this decision means to the club and its supporters we have to allow the process to run it’s course and legal paperwork to be completed before the club can begin to plan for the refurbishment of Ship Lane.
