This Saturday, Grays Ath are back in Suffolk for one of the toughest assignments of the season - on a visit to high-flying Felixstowe & Walton.
The Seasiders have been at the top end of the table all season and are looking to secure the one automatic promotion place. And they are currently on a fine run of form, sitting top of the recent-results table, having won each of their last six games, conceding only one goal in the process. Most of their matches are not goalfests but they have acquired the habit of winning, and that counts for a lot. This run has included impressive victories against Walthamstow, Basildon and a table-topping clash with Lowestoft
The reverse fixture was played at Tilbury towards the end of October and Felixstowe ran out comfortable 3-0 winners with second half goals from Aitkens, Brown and Hitter. Their performance that day was one of the best Blues fans have seen this season. Top marksman this season though is Callum Harrison, who has found the net 16 times so far.
Since our two clubs first met six years ago, the honours have been almost equally shared. This will though be a tough encounter for the Blues but they will be looking to take something back home down the A12, to help ease themselves away from the lower reaches of the table, after two recent damaging defeats.
Come on you Blues !
