This Saturday Blues embark on a series of fixtures against clubs currently sitting in the play off places begining with Coggeshall Town who sit in third place two places and one point above Blues making this yet another vital six pointer. For Blues new signing Dexter Peter it takes on special significance having signed from the Seedgrowers this week and of course not forgetting Danny Sambridge our custodian who featured for the visitors last season. In the corresponding fixture last season Blues went down to a Michael Gyasi goal on the stroke of half time .
The Seedgrowers in their second season at the higher level have continued to impress as they look to progress up the non league pyramid, last season they finished in fourth place reaching the play off semi finals a remarkable achievement . Current form sees them unbeaten in their last six matches, last Saturday they earned a creditable draw at league leaders Bury Town.
Blues have seen an upturn in league form recently with two wins and two clean sheets to push them back into the playoff places. Recent signing Ryan Sammons has made an impact adding security to the back line and with centre back Dexter Peter added to the squad this should add further solidarity at the back something which Jim Cooper clearly identified as a problem needing addressing given the number of goals conceded. Blues squad could have another boost with long term injury victim Tony Stokes close to a return to first team action aiming to be fit for another crucial match away at Bury next week.
So its all set for what looks to be a really interesting encounter with if Blues can claim the points and results go their way they could be sitting on top of the pile come 4.45 Saturday evening.
