Blues return to action tomorrow evening Tuesday 11th September 2018 when they travel to Spa Road to meet Witham Town for the second time this season - this time in the Velocity Cup 1st Round. They will be hoping for a repeat of their opening day win in the league when they produced a polished display to run out 2-0 winners. Since that day both teams have registered identical league results both winning one, with one draw and two defeats. Blues' fans will be looking for an improved performance after losing their last three games in disappointing style. In their previous game, Witham went down 3-1 at home to Coggeshall Town in an Emirates FA Cup replay after a 1-1 draw.

This promises to be an interesting encounter with Witham keen to take revenge for their opening day reverse and Blues looking to get their season back on track. Joao Carlos for Blues is a definite non-starter as he starts a three-match ban following his red card against Maldon & Tiptree. Other than that, Jamie Stuart will be able to pick from a full squad.
