Pre Season Fixtures

 Grays Athletic will kick off their pre season fixtures on Friday 11 July with a trip to Blue Square South‘s, Eastleigh Football Club, who just missed out on a play off place after their defeat at Thurrock, we also have Gillingham, Charlton & West ham United visiting the New Recreation Ground.

Blue Square Player Of The Month - April

 Cambridge United goalkeeper Danny Potter has been voted by fans as the Blue Square Premier “Player of the Month” for April. Potter registered the highest amount of votes this season for his performances during the month. The former Chelsea youngster kept 4 clean sheets and only conceded 3 goals in over 500 minutes of Blue Square Premier league action. Danny was instrumental in United‘s push for second place in the table, which has seen them progress all the way to Wembley in the play-off final.

 Grays Athletic have signed ex York City Central Midfielder, Stuart Elliott, on a one year contract, Stuart can play in both midfield and defence and has been with several clubs during his career including Newcastle, Swindon, Gillingham, Plymouth

 Grays Athletic have signed ex Yeovil Town midfielder, Ishmael Welsh, on a years contract, Ishmael started at The Academy Of Football (West Ham United) and turned professional in 2005, he signed with Yeovil Town in July 2006 and has been on loan at Weymouth, Torquay and more recently Forest Green Rovers
Youth Team Trials

Grays Athletic Youth run some very successful youth football teams who compete in a variety of leagues, recently a new venture has been secured with links to the Thurrock & Basildon College, this will comprise of Under 14‘s to Under 18‘s competing in the Eastern Junior Alliance league, to apply for trials for these teams you will need to submit an application, form which can be located on our Contacts page, to the club address, all trials for the EJA squads are by invite only.
