We are sorry to announce the departure of striker Jamie Guy

The hard working striker has played a pivotal role in getting our season going, scoring some important goals and demonstrating a work ethic, attitude and commitment to the cause both on and off the pitch that will be missed.

Sadly, as happens so often in non-league football, work and family commitments have a big impact and after recently becoming a father Jamie has had trouble getting to training and matches especially with the way some of the fixtures and sessions have had to move around to adapt to cup ties and the weather.

Blues manager Jody Brown has worked with Jamie at several clubs and is sorry to see the player leave the improving squad he has made a significant contribution to.

"I've worked with Jamie at 4 clubs and I know what he brings but he's started a new family and with his commitments away from football it makes sense to go in different directions.

"He's scored some important goals for us, and played a pivotal part in getting our season going. I am sad to let Jamie go but with the emergence of our young front players the squad continues to improve and evolve so we have to move with it.

"There's already interest in Jamie so releasing him now will improve his chances of securing a deal and I'm sure he will score goals wherever he goes."
