Joe Payne joins the club

Grays Athletic are pleased to announce that Joe Payne has joined the club on an initial 28 day loan from Barnet FC.

Joe is a 17 year old left back who signed as a professional with The Bees in December. He shot to prominence in November with a wonder goal from the halfway line in Barnet's county cup game against Enfield Town, which featured on Soccer AM and YouTube.

Depending on registration deadlines, Joe may be in the squad for tomorrow's game or next week's away fixture at Enfield.
