As we approach the first home match of the new season, the club also kicks off at a new venue. Since leaving “The Rec” in 2010 the club has lived a nomadic existence playing in Corringham, Rush Green and Aveley. We know that this is not ideal and appreciate it has been difficult for fans and the club alike. Rest assured that everything is still being worked on behind the scenes to secure the club a return to Grays, but in the meantime we would like to introduce our newest temporary “home” where we will play the 2017/18 Bostik North season.

Parkside Stadium is the brand new home of Aveley FC and once again the club has agreed a ground share agreement with them in their exciting new facilities situated on the entrance to Belhus Park just a goal kick or so away from their former Mill Field home. We are confident the new ground will give Grays fans a much improved match day experience and a good day out as the players do battle on the new all weather artificial pitch.

So what has changed? The first thing you will notice as you enter the site is that there is an ample tarmacked car park - so no more muddy boots or shoes as you enter and exit the stadium from the car park. The artificial pitch will ensure that games should be able to go ahead in most weathers , so no more nervously looking out the window on a Saturday morning or Wednesday afternoon! Talking of the weather, the ground boasts covered seating for almost 500 spectators and the main stand backs on to the clubhouse bar meaning you don't have to get wet to go and get your half time pint! The bar overlooks the pitch and is well staffed and stocked to keep waiting time to a minimum, there is also an upstairs part of the bar that provides excellent views of the pitch. There are the usual television screens in the bar and also a refreshment kiosk serving hot food and drinks.
