The former captain and assistant manager is one of several players released by the club this week

Including players that will join the u21 squad the first team coaching staff has looked at over 30 players in recent weeks, most of whom have played in one or more of our pre-season friendlies.

Manager Jody Brown has reduced the numbers as each game was played and there has been no room for sentiment as the club bids to challenge at the right end of the Ryman Premier League.

Lee Flynn, club captain and assistant manager to Ryan Kirby last season, joined the club in 2011 and started over 100 games for the Blues but had been undecided about playing on this coming season and we wish him the best if luck for the future. Another Blues centurion, Jared Small, has also been released.

John Mbamarah, Helge Orome, Lindisipho Mtyanda and Billy Dunn all joined the club in the latter half of last season as the club looked to reinforce the squad when facing a heavy fixture backlog and a growing number of players on the treatment table.

Finally, youngsters Perry Tamburrini, Brian Moses and Dan Fry have also moved onto pastures new. Tamburrini has already signed for landlords Aveley while Moses and Fry are both expected to sign for Ryman League clubs.

We wish each player the very best of luck for the future, both on and off the pitch.
