Andy Swallow explains club's stance over signings announcements

Firstly I would like to thank Conor Gough and Aaron Best for their time at Grays Athletic and wish them the very best at their new clubs.

I would like to say that there has been no change from our point of view. The club will only announce new signings and player movement once everyone has returned to pre-season training. I will not release a retained list as some clubs have in the league, a lot can happen in the close season and to publish a retained list at this early stage in the season iIfeel is not wise.

The club have highlighted some new signings of which there are six in total, and again we will not be announcing who these signings are. The main reason being that we do not wish to alert other clubs that these players are available.

I do hope you can understand the clubs stand on this issue. We feel we are moving in the right direction on and off the pitch and we do not wish to scupper our pre-season plans by jumping the gun as some other clubs have.

We once again thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the Academy at Loughton on July 4th where you will all be welcome to attend our first training session of the season.

Keep the faith

Andy
