The u21s lie third in the Ryman League u21 North Division but have played the fewest games amongst the group of teams that can still win the league and have a significant number of games in hand on AFC Hornchurch (5) and Wingate & Finchley (4) who occupy the top two places in the division.

While the side has hit a rich vein of form - which has seen several players promoted to join the first team squad in recent weeks - a number of fringe players have left the club and the coaching staff have fielded a much changed side from game to game but with seven games remaining, all to be played in April, Andy Swallow and Dave Hellen have recruited some welcome reinforcements.

Brian Moses returned to the club recently but this week also sees the return of left-back Jon Watson, a regular in the reserves in previous seasons and Perry Tamburrini.

Tamburrini, 18, made 2 appearances for Blues first team last season and has long been considered an excellent prospect for the future. Promotion to the Ryman Premier League saw the young right-back left out of the new manager's plans for the current season so he opted for first team football at landlords Aveley before a spell at Basildon Town and returns to the club to see the season out with the u21s where his progress will be closely monitored by Mark Bentley.

The young Blues next match is on Saturday 4th April against AFC Hornchurch at Mill Field and a win for Andy Swallow and Dave Hellen's side will see the gap between the two teams reduced to five points with the Urchins having played five more games.
