Supporters, coaching staff and committee members joined forces in the winter sunshine today to help prepare the ground for grading in March

With the ground grading committee reviewing the Ford Sports Ground at the end of March, work has now started on transforming it from its current state, into a ground capable of achieving a Grade C rating.

Volunteers came together at the ground today to start work on the overgrown pitch surround, terracing and seating areas. Supporters, coaching staff and committee members had a chilly start to the day in bright January sunshine but with enthusiam, some hard graft and good humour the transformation was well underway.

There is still a lot of work to do and the club is looking for volunteers to assist with all manner of work that is required at the ground, from painting and decorating, to gardening and general maintenance work. If you are able to assist in anyway, your help would be greatly appreciated by everyone at the club.

Please call Andy on 07895 773439 or Val on 07539 871628 (after 6pm) if you are interested in helping out, alternatively you can speak with any club official who can take your details.
