The blues retained the Stan Veness Memorial trophy last night at Chadfileds winning 1-4.
Tilburys Ben Hunt struck first in the 16th minute to make it 1-0. However Freddie Lapado struck back 3 minutes later to level the score and settle the blues supporters nerves.
On the 23rd minute the blues took the lead through a Jay Leader goal making it 2-1. Grays dominated the second half with Lapado scoring two more to make the final score 4-1.
A good encounter for Jody Browns boys with only two pre-season fixtures left before the first game of the season away against Billericay Town on the 9th August.
With thanks to all our supporters and a special thankyou to Tilbury FC for hosting the match.
