Margate 3 v 0 Grays Athletic
THIS WAS always going to be a "Big ask" for Grays Athletic and so it asked as they went down 3-0 to league leaders Margate.
The result could have been closer but Jody Brown's Grays are not the type of team to "park the bus" and went out to play competitive, attractive football at the seaside.
Much praise was once again given to Grays keeper Connor Gough who made two superb saves in the first twenty minutes before being beaten on 26 minutes when Ryan Moss claimed the final touch on Kane Wills’ in-swinging free-kick.
Sub John Beales fired home the second after Grays failed to clear a Sam Rents free-kick.
The third came a minute in the 89th minute when Jamie Taylor’s diving header secured the points.
