The Blues travel to Kent where they face Ramsgate on Tuesday night in a pre-season friendly.

Ramsgate, who play in the Ryman Division One South are coming off a big win where they hammered Thamesmead Town 6-3 on Saturday. Meanwhile, a Grays Athletic side consisting of a handful of first teamers, with the rest made up of youth, reserves and trialists, travelled to Haringey Borough. The Blues came back from 3-1 down at half-time to draw the game 4-4. A day before, the 'first team' recorded a good pre-season win at Ryman Premier outfit Concord Rangers, running out 3-2 winners.

The Rams finished in eighth place last season, five points off the play-offs. Mark Lovell was their top scorer with a total of 19 goals in all compeitions.

Their attack has been bolstered recently with the signing of Joseph Afusi, who scored against them earlier in pre-season for Gillingham where he was on trial. On the signing, Rams Chairman Richard Lawson commented; "Joseph will be a real handful for defences and is a tremendous addition to our squad".

Kick-off is Tuesday 2nd August, 19:45 at:
