Martinique-born striker Sigere started his footballing career in France with Bordeaux playing in their reserve team in the fourth tier of French football from 1997 to 1999. Whilst with Bordeaux, Sigere made an appearance for France under-20’s in 1997. He had a spell on loan with Lusitanons Saint-Maur in 1999, before travelling to England to join Rushden & Diamonds on loan in March 2000. Siggy played seven games in League football for Rushden before moving to Stevenage Borough in the Conference. He went on to join Kent outfit Margate in 2002 for £7,500, and played 49 times, scoring nine goals in his 18-month stay at Margate. He had spells with Hornchurch, Heybridge Swifts, Gravesend & Northfleet and Lewes. In his first season with the Rooks, he was the club’s top goal scorer with 23 goals in 41 appearances. He was loaned out to Horsham before returning to Lewes. He then signed for Lewes’ rivals Eastbourne Borough, before being loaned to Horsham again in October 2008 for three months.
